about
Groove is from Columbus, Ohio. He officially began producing music in 1999 but started playing drums and forming various rap groups with cousins and friends during earlier grade school years. He started out producing all his music from a Boss drum machine and Gemini samplers and eventually taught himself to play keyboard. "Soul Hop" is his style of hip hop music production. He blends lush instrumentation, DJ elements, and synthesized sounds with samples of music from various eras and genres. During early college years, Groove was Hip Hop Director and DJ on KBUX Underground.fm, an Ohio State University internet radio station. Groove tried to keep a high musical output by producing music for various underground artists through the years.
He eventually became producer and DJ for teen christian hip hop group, "CeriOus". They toured and recorded from 2004 until they disbanded in 2008. He has since shifted focus strictly to music production and promotions via the internet. Groove creates various drum and sample kits and also produce songs for film, commercials, and various independent artists. In 2012, Groove. produced a song for UK emcee named Conflict called "only the beginning". He was selected for (2012) MTV UK short list of Brand New artists.
Groove. currently has 3 instrumental beat tapes released which are available on all DSPs. A major goal of his has been and is still making soulful and inspiring music that can become part of any listener’s daily life soundtrack.
